Born in Izmir, Turkey, Ümit Firat is a highly accomplished bağlama player and educator. After graduating with a major in bağlama from the Ege Conservatory, he continued his musical journey in the Netherlands, earning a degree in World Music from Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam. He has participated in various musical projects and is a co-founder of the Seyyah Ensemble, where he is active as a saz player and singer. With over 12 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for Turkish folk music, Ümit brings both expertise and inspiration to every lesson.
